It's Election Time Again, Oh Boy!

It is election time again, and it is time for us all to take a look at what is at stake.
We have a choice this year between essentially two major parties who are not as different as they may like us to believe. If you vote Republican, you vote for oppressive social policy and more government invasion into privacy. If you vote Democratic, besides needing a frontal lobe lobotomy, you vote for ridiculous government tax-and-spending and a huge central government.
As for the supposedly "divisive" issue of the "War on Terror", all the Democrats has said is that we should leave. No plan, no significant explanations, no rationale or timescale, just politcal mumbo jumbo that contradicts all that is Republican for the sake of contradiction. I guarantee that as soon as they gain control of one or both houses, they will simply slough off this issue; they will claim that they now know that what they said is difficult and will waffle on the issue. Period. Look at the votes on whether or not to go to war. Was there any division then? No, it was a good politcal decision to agree with it. Patriotism. Now it is better politically for the Dems to oppose. So they do. What's next?
However, don't take that as support for the war that I feel is prolonged, unnecessary, and expansionist.
And on that same tangent; where is our sense of being American? Whether or not you support the war, shouldn't you care about the TROOPS that are there on the ground? In the air? Floating around on the ocean? I think it is perfectly horrible to degrade those who serve, just to show how much you hate Republicans.
Support our troops, not the war.

So regardless of how you vote, you vote for essentially the same thing... more political chaos and instability.

Chew on that.
